And welcome to the Home Away From Home kennel. We are a full service pet care facility located on US Route 9, three miles west of Delaware Route 1. We are a short 15 minutes from the oceanfront resort of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and only five minutes from historic Lewes, Delaware on the Delaware Bay.

Most hotels and bed & breakfasts in the area do not accept pets, but you can enjoy your vacation knowing your pet is close by and you can visit your pet at any time during our business hours.

WE OFFER 25 heated or air conditioned indoor/outdoor runs. Your dog has access to his outside run from 7 am to 11 pm. Playtime is available in our 2 large fenced in yards, for an additional fee. If your dog gets along with another dog, "Maggie" our resident Basset Hound is available to play. A Kiddie pool is also available for your dog in the summer. Soft, comfy bedding for all our guests, or you may bring your own. Soothing music is piped in 24 hours a day. 24 hour Monitored Fire system. Full service grooming salon. We specialize in "gentle grooming" for your pampered pet. Separate cattery with large roomy cages and heat or air conditioning. We also have an enclosed outdoor area for your cat's enjoyment. Plenty of treats and tender loving care. Any medication given as required. There is no additional fee if the medication can be given in food. Owner lives on property.

WE REQUIRE A veterinarian-signed health certificate for all boarders!! Dogs must have proof of the following three vaccines with dates given: RABIES (current) DHLP&P (within the last 12 months) BORDETELLA (within the last 12 or 6 months), and cannot be given within 8 days of arriving at the kennel. Cats must have proof of the following three vaccines with dates given: RABIES (current) DISTEMPER (within the last 12 months) LEUKEMIA (within the last 12 or 6 months) ANY PET WITHOUT THE PROPER PROOF OF VACCINES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR BOARDING AT THIS FACILITY. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE! THIS IS FOR YOUR PET'S PROTECTION AS WELL AS FOR ALL OF OUR BOARDERS.

Our business hours are by appointment only: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30 to 5:30 Saturday 8:30 to 4:00 Sunday 4:00 to 6:00 Closed on Tuesdays. If you feel that you must pick up or drop off your pet outside of these hours, there is a $75.00 after-hours-fee. This must be arranged in advance and is by appointment only. We accept personal checks or cash. We also accept Visa, Master Card, and Discover cards.
