Flounder fishing was the best fishing in many years in the bay. Again there will be a season on flounder but the dates are not set as of yet. There will also be a reduction in how many flounder you can keep. Drum fishing was good with many fish over 50 lbs and a few drum in the 90 and 100 lb class. Sea Trout fishing was up and down with night fishing being the best. Lots of fish, its just were they going to bite that night. There was also alot of big croakers in the bay, Fall Tautog fishing excelled this year with many fish hooked around the wall near Lewes. Offshore Shark fishing was above average during June and July, with fish being caught during day and night hours. Tuna fishing was very good, with yellowfin being the best. Alot of tuna in the 50 to 75 lb class with a shot at a bigger fish on every trip. |
